Reviews
An izakaya built around the owner's original teppan dishes — the signatures are mapo tofu and mapo noodles. Small plates like chilled yuba tofu and takoyaki-style tofu are popular, and portions are so generous it's been described as "halfway between a diner and an izakaya." The bold, punchy seasoning goes perfectly with drinks, and most reviewers agree the prices are very reasonable for what you get. You can watch the cooking from the counter, and many people say the owner's and staff's personalities make them stay longer than planned. Note: smoking is allowed, so it's not suited to children or anyone wanting a quiet meal. [Web] Tabelog 3.07 with 800+ saves. The shop's own tagline: "a creative teppan izakaya that wants a little too badly to make local Suita more fun." The numbing mapo with house-made chili oil and Sichuan pepper is the official recommendation.
