The katsudon (¥750) has a crisp coating over thick yet tender pork, with the broth's gentle sweetness soaking into the rice; the standard move is +¥200 for a mini soba. The soba is fragrant and pairs well with the bowl. One honest note: the hot soba broth is sweeter and stronger than the pale Kansai dashi some expect — it divides opinion.
