Reviews
A neighborhood sushi shop famous for its bargain lunch: 10 nigiri + red miso soup for ¥1,200, or 12 for ¥1,500 — "worth ¥2,000 if ordered à la carte," as many put it. The aji, tuna and butter-grilled abalone stand out, and the subtly sweet tamago pairs beautifully with the vinegared rice. The ¥3,000 set (8 nigiri + chawanmushi + soup) also satisfies. The master works the counter alone with impressive efficiency, and the warm atmosphere — chatting with the okami included — is part of the appeal. Arrive at opening or expect a wait.
